General AmbianceCalling all amateur antique dealers and collectors! Hotel Jules is just footsteps from Hotel Drouot, a celebrated auction house. Cross the rue La Fayette, then take the rue Drouot, and you’re there. All around you, rue Drouot, rue Rossini or rue de la Grange Batelière, you’ll find a plethora of antiquaries, consignments, markets and auctioneers who can’t wait to start the bartering.

L’hôtel DrouotFounded in 1852, Hotel Drouot has for a very long time been the most important centre in the world for art sales. Revitalised by investments from Sotheby’s and Christie’s, the venue is well worth a detour and remains a major art market, most notably for antiques, books, nouveau art and deco art, as well as for “Arts Premiers.” The actual Hotel Drouot consists of 16 sales rooms spanning 3 floors. Bidding takes place here every day of the week, from 14h to 19h, except Sundays. 2000 annual sales are organized, with more than 800.000 objects represented, ready to sell at prices varying from 1€ to millions.
